Position Overview:
Duties and Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Electrical Apprentice you will develop the skills and knowledge required to install, maintain, diagnose faults and repair electrical wiring and computer based equipment in cars, trucks, caravans, trailers, earthmoving and agricultural equipment and boats. Specifically, you will learn to diagnose, service and repair faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems such as electronic fuel injection and ignition, anti-lock braking, cruise control, airbags and automatic transmissions. In addition, you will test, replace, recondition and install equipment such as generators, alternators, starter motors and batteries; and repair or replace faulty ignitions, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches and use specialised electrical tools and equipment.

Position Requirements:
To fulfil the requirements of Automotive Electrical Apprenticeship with Golden West Apprenticeships you will:

- Abide by the terms and conditions of the Training Contract.
- Complete Golden West Apprenticeships inductions.
- Perform work in a satisfactory manner.
- Commit to and complete the Training Plan in the timeframe allocated by completing theory based assessments and demonstrating skills through competency based assessments to the best of your ability.
- Comply with registration relevant to your field of work, in particular the Further Education and Training Act and the Work Health and Safety Act.
